I have been told many things, all over the board in fact, about what the pregnancy "should" be like and "would" be like. I'm finding more and more that I just have to go my own way and do the best that I can. I think each person is different and each pregnancy is different. For example, I am still amazed at the dramatic changes I have had in appetite and preferences. Everything I loved before I was pregnant I now feel indifferent about or don't care for. And things that I never really cared for before, like hot dogs and ham and cheese sandwiches sound awesome. I think I have ate more meat during this pregnancy than I have in my entire life up to this point combined. I would be lying to you if I didn't admit that as I am writing this I am eating chicken nuggets from Mcdonalds. I really didn't think that I was having any cravings because I haven't woken up at 2am and wanted any "gas station nachos" (mom) or anything, but upon reflection, there have been several things that I want almost all the time. These include, (but are definitely not limited to):
1. Chicken Sandwiches (grilled, with mustard)
2. Chicken Nuggets and French Fries (but they have to be Mcdonalds brand)
3. Hot Dogs and/or Corn Dogs from Sonic (again, with mustard)
4. Ham and Egg Breakfast Sandwich from Starbucks (I can't get the coffee there anymore, but the sandwiches are to die).
I actually took a huge step forward and tried a bite of Thommy's hamburger the other day from Smashburger. I thought, hey, everything else is topsy-turvy, maybe I'll love burgers now! But alas, it tasted weird and "soft" to me if that makes sense. I'm used to the texture of chicken I guess. *sigh of relief*
I guess some things don't change, even with pregnancy (although pretty much everything else does).
