We had a 3D Ultrasound appointment this morning and got some fairly decent shots of the baby. Unfortunately, she is facing head down now, and she was turned so the placenta is covering her face, so we couldn't see it very clearly the whole time. We are going to try to go back in about 5 weeks and see if we can get some clearer shots of that sweet little face.

Snoogle to the rescue
Yay I finally think I can get some decent sleep now! I have not been sleeping well at all, and usually have to sleep on the couch to get any rest. Well, my mom said she would buy me a body pillow for my birthday, which I've heard helps pregnant women sleep better. Thom and I went down to Babies R Us yesterday and although they didn't have the body pillow I originally wanted, I was able to get another one, called a "Snoogle" lol. It's basically a big pillow shaped like a "C" where the long part goes behind your back and the top part goes under your head and the bottom part goes either under both legs or between them. It seems a little awkward at first but it's supposed to help you sleep on your side, and in perfect alignment. You can also turn it around and "snuggle" with the long side for more comfort. See below (this is not me in the photo by the way lol):
Well, I used it last night and I really love it. The only downside is that it's a huge pain to turn from one side to the other, but at least it's comfortable once you get there. Thanks Mom!!!
In other news, I am officially 26 weeks, or 6.5 months along today. So that means I have less than 14 weeks to go. I have my 26 week check up at the doctor's office on Tuesday, and I'm not sure if I have to do the blood work or not (hopefully not!) but if not, then very soon. :( Also I am going to ask about getting induced so I can get a firmer due date. Technically you are full-term at 37 weeks but we will see what he says. Thommy and I have another Ultrasound appointment tomorrow morning as well. I can't wait to see how much Hadley has grown and changed in the past 5 weeks!!

I'm getting BIGGERRRRRRR!
We took these photos last night after we went out to dinner at Cantina Loredo with our friends for my birthday. There were 9 of us at dinner: Me and Thom, Carla Sue and Brian, Lenna and Kelli, Cody and Ivy, and Cindy. I'll try to post some photos of dinner if I get them from Cindy who took some with her camera.
I wanted to get some photos of my belly at 24 weeks, but we didn't get around to it last week, so these are taken at 25 weeks along. The lighting isn't that great since they were taken at night in our apartment, but you can still see how big my belly is getting! :)

I feel like I'm getting somewhere!
I found this amazing tool online where you can design your nursery if you type in the dimensions of your room, as well as the dimensions of all of your furniture pieces. You can even add windows, doorways, lighting, rugs, etc. It's great because you can see how everything will lay out and if it will fit. I think we have finally picked all the pieces that we need for the nursery...yay! Now all we have to do is finish cleaning out the room and start purchasing everything. Here is what the nursery will have:
1. Crib - a black crib from Munire. It is a convertible crib, meaning that it converts into a daybed, and then a full-sized bed for when the child grows up. I love the dental molding and the flower pattern, I think it is very sweet.

Of course, our bedding will be the pink/turquoise/green/orange bedding from Pottery Barn.
2. Changing Table from Target.
3. Open shelf system from Ikea. I will fill this with baskets for storage.
4. Glider Rocker Chair with Ottoman. I almost died when I saw this adorable pattern in the celery green color!
5. Our black futon couch (which we already had in the nursery). I will add some decorative colorful pillows to it.
6. My fabulous black chandelier!
7. My huge black floor mirror (that I already had)
8. And of course, our baby swing (thanks granny!)
Now all I need to do is pick out a cute rug, some fabrics, a set of end tables, and some fun decorative accents and the nursery will be done!
Check out the floor plan I put together using all of these things:

Nursery Woes
I'm so frustrated with the nursery. I have spent hours and hours online looking for different types of furniture, organizational and decorating ideas, you name it, and I haven't really come up with a full fledged plan yet. :(
Thom told me last night after I had been on the laptop for about 3 hours looking at baby stuff that maybe I needed to take a break for awhile because I was becoming obsessed. I could see why he would say that, but the thing is, I'm not really obsessed, I just want to decide on a POA (plan of action) so I can get it underway. After I know what I'm doing I will be able to focus on those specific things and not such a broad range. For example, at first I was convinced that I wanted an armoire. Well, an armoire didn't really fit into our budget since I couldn't find a decent one for under $1,000. Then I saw an idea on Project Nursery for a shelving unit with all these baskets and I thought that may be the solution, but I then have to find baskets that a) fit the dimensions of the shelves and b) fit the decor of the nursery. This is hard to do when you are looking online.
Here is the Nursery I saw that I liked with the shelves. I would probably put baskets in most of the cubbies/shelves to hold all the various baby items:
Here are some shelves that I like that you put baskets in:
I also love the idea of creating a "boutique" type feel in the room by hanging some shelving and a bar on the wall to display clothing:
I got my bedding (yay!) in the mail and I love it. I just got the bumper, sheet and bedskirt, not the quilt, which she can't even use right now anyway. And our crib will be black, not white.
So that's one thing down. But now, I have to get a rug, curtains, decor for the walls, a mobile, etc and it needs to match the bedding. The only sure fire way to do that is to go out to stores and see it in person, because it's too risky to do online because of color variances.
I found some things that I really like online, I may post them later. But for now, I'm still trying to sort out how we can accommodate style, budget, space and functionality. *sigh*.

Dinner with Friends!
We went to dinner with Carla Sue and her boyfriend Brian last night at Gloria's in Fort Worth. The food was great, we got to watch the Mavs whip the Lakers, and the company was the best! I hadn't seen Carla Sue in about 4 months, and she hadn't seen my baby bump yet, so it was great to see her. We all had an awesome time. We made plans to do something again for my birthday in a few weeks...

22 weeks and all is well
I had my 22-week doctor's appointment yesterday, and all is well! I got another ultrasound and they did all the measurements, etc and looked at everything to make sure it was looking good. They said everything was developing perfectly, and her little belly was even full, meaning that she's eating well too. The doctor busted my chops for not being registered at the Hospital yet, but I told him that's on my to-do list (among a million other things) but will do it when I get my name changed. Which will be very soon!
I'm starting to "feel" very pregnant. It hurts when I move around sometimes, I have to take a lot longer to get out of bed or get off the couch. Thom was laughing at me trying to scoot over on the couch last night. He said it took me like three tries to move the smallest amount. Yes, well, you try moving off of a deep-seated couch cushion with a big sack of potatoes on your belly. Not so easy, my friend. I've also had some pretty bad ligament pain, which the doctor said was "normal" lol. I'm starting to think that the weirder things become with my body, the more "normal" my pregnancy is! So far I'm still able to wear my wedding ring and can bend over to pick benny up (albeit with difficulty) so you know what that tells me? I've still got a long way to go! :)
